We take care that the information on this site is accurate and current, particularly the description of what each citation style covers and the edition of the guidance it follows. If you find something that is wrong or out of date, please tell us and we will correct it.
What we sell
We sell annual subscriptions to citation styles for the Zotero reference manager. What a subscription includes, how it renews, and what happens when it ends are set out in our Terms and Conditions. Refunds are covered by our Return and Refund Policy, and how we handle personal information by our Privacy Policy.
Independence and trademarks
The Cite Shop is an independent business. Our citation styles are independently produced to follow published referencing guidance as closely as CSL and Zotero allow. They are not official, and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the publishers or authors of any referencing guide.
Cite Them Right is a trademark of its respective owner. Zotero is a trademark of the Corporation for Digital Scholarship. Both are named on this site only to describe compatibility, under fair and nominative use.
Copyright
The content of this site — text, images, page design and the citation style files we supply — is our intellectual property and is protected by copyright. Our citation styles are proprietary and licenced, not sold; the terms of that licence are in section 10 of our Terms and Conditions.
You may not reproduce, redistribute or publish our citation style files. You may quote short extracts from this site with attribution and a link.
The Cite Shop Client Sync plugin is separate from the styles and is open source, licenced under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3 or later. Its source is published at github.com/TheCiteShop/the-cite-shop-client-sync. Nothing on this page restricts the rights that licence grants you in the plugin's own source code.

This site is hosted by Hawk Host Inc., on servers located in Canada. Where our hosting provider processes personal information on our behalf, it does so under our instructions — see the Privacy Policy.

Your statutory rights are unaffected, and nothing here requires you to use any particular process before exercising them.
